To check your reservation status, you can either find the message thread with the host in your inbox or follow these steps:

Confirmed: This means your booking is confirmed, and you're all set! You'll receive an email confirmation, and push notifications if you've set them up.
Now, let's clarify the difference between "Instant Book" and "Request to Book":
Instant book: If you choose a listing with Instant book, your reservation is automatically confirmed. You don't need to wait for host's approval. However, make sure your account has up-to-date payment information and a verified ID since some hosts may require this.
Request to book: When you use the "Request to book" button, hosts have 24 hours to respond to your booking request. If they decline or don't respond within this time frame, don't worry—you won't be charged, and you're free to book another experience. Again, ensure your payment details and ID are current, as some hosts may request them.
In simpler terms, Instant book means you can book and go, while request to book means you wait for the host's approval within 24 hours. If they don't respond, you can explore other options without any charges. Just keep your payment info and ID updated, as some hosts might need them.
