Certainly, here's a simplified explanation of why your reservation might be in a "Pending" status:

Why your reservation is "Pending":

Waiting for the host's response: After you've made a booking request and paid, it's up to the host to accept or decline your request. Your reservation will stay as "Pending" until the host responds. During this time, you can also reach out to the host to confirm your request.

If the host declines your request or doesn't respond within 24 hours, the status will change to "Declined" or "Expired," and your payment will be refunded to your original payment method.

Identity verification required: Sometimes, your reservation will be "Pending" because you haven't completed the identity verification process. You have 12 hours from the time of booking to complete this process. If you don't, the reservation will be automatically canceled.
