Hekaya gives you choices of 2 currencies (OMR and USD) to make the reservations. You can select your preferred currency when you add your payment details, or you can change your default currency anytime you want.
Currency conversion
When you pick a currency, Hekaya shows prices in that currency. If you decide to change the currency while booking, the price will switch to the new currency. When you're all set to confirm your reservation, the checkout page will display the new currency too.
Please note that in most of the cases, the detection might be in OMR currency as it is our main default currency.
Third-party fees
If you select a currency different from your usual payment method, your bank or credit card company might add extra fees for converting currencies. Remember, Hekaya isn't in charge of these fees. If you want to know more, just get in touch with your bank or credit card company.
Some people might suggest chatting with others outside of hekaya, like on facebook messenger or through text messages.
This can happen for a number of different reasons, from an expired credit card to fraud prevention.
The amount of your refund depends on your reservation’s cancellation policy and when you cancel.
If you qualify for a refund, we'll process your refund right after you cancel your booking.
We will automatically handle the refund by using the payment method you originally used to make the reservation.
We're here to simplify this process for you, and it's as easy as heading over to your Trips.
Your initial step should be to message your host, informing them of your situation and inquiring about the possibility of a refund.
To help us maintaining the system and customer service, we are charging 10% on top of the host charge and other taxes.
You can get a refund for the service fee if you cancel before the free cancellation period for your reservation expires.
Coupon codes are unique, they have an expiry date, and they can only be used once. Make sure you apply the coupon before you book.
There are a number of reasons a coupon code might not work – for instance, it could have expired or already been used.
If your host cancels a reservation you used a coupon on, your coupon code will remain active and can be used toward another reservation.
Hekaya has implemented a specific policy regarding the usage of coupons on its platform, and these terms and conditions are applicable to all users.
Hekaya gift cards can be used to give the gift a one-of-a-kind experience. They can be purchased online via our platform.
A Value Added Tax (VAT) invoice is generated whenever hekaya applies VAT to its service fees.
You can go to your Trips to find a receipt for a completed stay.
You can print the details for an upcoming or completed reservation from your browser.
Value Added Tax (VAT) is a tax that is levied on the sale of goods and services.
Sometimes, local regulations mandate that Hosts charge a tax to their guests.
