In most cases, Hekaya collects the entire cost of your reservation. If you ever paid any portion of your reservation outside of hekaya, it could be a potential scam.

Fees that hosts can charge directly
Every now and then, hosts might ask guests to pay certain fees and taxes directly using a payment method that's not through hekaya.
These fees should be clearly explained in the listing details and shown before you book. Some examples of these fees are:

Note: Booking reservations outside of hekaya goes against our rules. It's against our terms of service. If we find out that a reservation was made using another website or service, we have the right to cancel that reservation. This could also lead to both the person who made the reservation and the guest having their accounts deactivated.
Some people might suggest chatting with others outside of hekaya, like on facebook messenger or through text messages.
Hekaya gives you choices of 2 currencies (OMR and USD) to make the reservations.
This can happen for a number of different reasons, from an expired credit card to fraud prevention.
The amount of your refund depends on your reservation’s cancellation policy and when you cancel.

To help us maintaining the system and customer service, we are charging 10% on top of the host charge and other taxes.
You can get a refund for the service fee if you cancel before the free cancellation period for your reservation expires.
Coupon codes are unique, they have an expiry date, and they can only be used once. Make sure you apply the coupon before you book.
There are a number of reasons a coupon code might not work – for instance, it could have expired or already been used.
If your host cancels a reservation you used a coupon on, your coupon code will remain active and can be used toward another reservation.

Hekaya gift cards can be used to give the gift a one-of-a-kind experience. They can be purchased online via our platform.
A Value Added Tax (VAT) invoice is generated whenever hekaya applies VAT to its service fees.
You can go to your Trips to find a receipt for a completed stay.
You can print the details for an upcoming or completed reservation from your browser.
