Reviews on hekaya are essential for building trust within our community. They allow hosts and guests to share their experiences, make informed decisions, and know what to expect. To maintain a fair review system, we have several safeguards in place.
Who can leave a review
Hosts and guests can only review experience that were booked and paid for through hekaya.
When reviews can be submitted and published
After the experience, both parties have up to 30 days to submit their reviews.
Reviews are only posted after both parties have reviewed or after the 30-day period expires, whichever comes first. If a host cancels a reservation before the experience start timing, neither party can leave a review.
How to leave a review
Hekaya will send you an email to leave a review after your experience ended. You can follow the link in the email to the reviews page.
If you can't find the email, you can write a review directly on hekaya from your trips page as a guest or from the reservation section of your today tab as a host. You can also leave a review from your Inbox.
Finding your reviews
If you're a guest, you can find your reviews by going to Profile > Account > Go to profile.
If you're a host, you can find your reviews under Menu > Reviews.
Responding to a review
You can publicly respond to a review within 30 days after it was submitted, providing additional context or your perspective while following our reviews policy.
Removing a review
You cannot remove a review written about you, but you can report it if it violates our reviews policy.
You can request the removal of a review you've written if it no longer reflects your genuine experience.
Group reviews
If a reservation has multiple guests, the host's review is for the guest who made the reservation, but it will be visible on all guests' profiles.
Review ranking
Reviews are ranked based on their chronological order and relevance. Factors like language and user search criteria may be considered.
